Altidudes Unused Assets

Thanks for stopping by!  These are mainly Pico-8 sound effects that I have not used in my game Altidudes, and I am donating them for everyone to use!  

In order to use these you will need the Pico-8 engine, available here: https://www.lexaloffle.com/pico-8.php

Inside the asset folder there will be a text document containing a series of numbers and letters with comments. These are the sound effects, and to use them you will also need a text editor, I recommend Notepad++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/ or Sublime Text https://www.sublimetext.com/

Here are the steps to get the sfx into your Pico-8 cartridge:

1) Open your Pico-8 cartridge in a text editor, like Notepad++

2) Scroll to the very bottom and you will see a section called __SFX__ with a few lines if you already have sfx in your game

3) In this SFX section, each line represents one SFX in your Pico-8 game, so in the picture here line 13 is where SFX 0 is

4)To transfer the SFX from the downloads to your game, overwrite one of the SFX in your own game (Ideally ones with many 0's are empty).  If you see no lines here, you can just paste the SFX codes into new lines, and Pico-8 will automatically generate the SFX from there

5) Do this for any other SFX you would like, but remember there are only 64 spots dedicated for SFX
